The DEC 21064-AA Alpha CPU (Alpha AXP) is a vintage microprocessor introduced by Digital Equipment Corporation in 1991. This specimen comes in a ceramic PGA package with a large gold heat spreader, making it highly desirable among CPU collectors and computing historians.
The DEC Alpha was one of the most advanced 64-bit RISC processors of its time, widely used in high-performance workstations and servers. This particular chip, dated 1991, represents the first generation of Alpha architecture and is a rare find today.
